Tonight Ashrita Furman from Queen, NY, established another Guinness Record. Celebrating the 77th Anniversary of his meditation teacher Sri Chinmoy, he created a huge birthday cake with 47,000 candles. Within less than a minute all candles were burning simultaneously. Ashrita made a record with 27,000 candles a couple of years ago but it was broken by a competitor with the number of 30,000. Now Ashrita could get it back with a large margin!

How they burnt them all? I suppose it has taken a lot of time. But as for me quite stupid record.
